How to Get Your Pay Stub From Subway
Subway's terms of use call the franchise owner "the exclusive employer" of team members. Here is who really holds your stubs, and which Subway logins are dead.
Subway's own terms of use answer this in one line: "Subway® restaurant franchise owners are the exclusive employer of their team members and, as such, are solely responsible for all employment matters in their restaurants." So your pay stubs sit with the operating company named on your W-2, in whatever payroll system that owner chose — not with Subway. Every Subway-branded login that actually exists is for corporate staff or business users: hr.subway.com forwards to Ceridian Dayforce, and partners.subway.com and liveiq.subway.com both land on Subway's Azure sign-in at subid.subway.com.
Current employees
hr.subway.com — Subway's corporate HR sign-on (Dayforce), not a crew pay stub site: https://hr.subway.com/
If you no longer work there
Subway corporate cannot retrieve a franchise employee's stubs, and says so in its terms of use: "We do not employ, and are not the employer of, any franchisee", and "If you are hired by a Subway® restaurant, only the franchisee operating that restaurant, and not us, will be your employer." So start from the payroll provider you were already using while employed — sign in on that provider's own employee site, not through anything Subway-branded, and download the statements, because access often survives separation for a while and then quietly lapses. Which provider that is comes from your stub or your former employer, never from a generic list; Subway does not mandate one, so a franchisee with three stores and a franchisee with thirty may be on entirely different systems. If the login is gone, contact the operating company named in box c of your W-2: call the restaurant or the owner's office, ask which payroll company they use and who handles records requests, and give your employment dates and the last four digits of your Social Security number. Put the request in writing if calls go unanswered — most states give employees a right to request their own payroll records from a former employer. A payroll system change at the franchisee creates a hard cutoff, so ask which year they switched and who holds the pre-change archive.
Addresses that no longer work
- university.subway.com — "Subway University", still published as the employee training and records login — The hostname no longer exists. NXDOMAIN on Google (8.8.8.8), Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and Quad9 (9.9.9.9), so there is no HTTP response at all and nothing to redirect — a browser reports that the server cannot be found. Pages claiming it "now redirects" to a Subway login are describing something that cannot happen.
- subwayuniversity.com — the lookalike .com people try after university.subway.com fails — Not Subway's, and on the market. Fetched: HTTP 200, but the entire 114-byte document is <script>window.onload=function(){window.location.href="/lander"}</script> — a domain-parking monetization page. WHOIS shows registrar NameSilo, LLC, registrant organization "See PrivacyGuardian.org", creation date 2013-11-08 and nameserver NS3.AFTERNIC.COM, the Afternic domain marketplace. Never enter work credentials on it.
- mysubway.com and subwaypartners.com — cited as alternative Subway employee or franchisee logins — Both serve the identical parking lander: HTTP 200 with the same 114-byte body redirecting to /lander. Neither presents a Subway login, Subway branding or any employee system. The genuine franchisee-facing address is partners.subway.com (note the subdomain, not the .com), which redirects into Subway's Azure AD B2C sign-in at subid.subway.com.
- HR-sounding subway.com subdomains published in listicles — employees.subway.com, payroll.subway.com and paystub.subway.com are all NXDOMAIN on Google, Cloudflare and Quad9. subwaypos.com resolves with no address record at all, so curl fails with "Could not resolve host". None of these are typos to correct — they were never registered.
Read your W-2, not a portal list
The name in box c of your W-2 is your employer, and with Subway that is almost always a small operating company you may never have seen on a sign. Subway's terms of use go further than most brands: "We do not employ, and are not the employer of, any franchisee", and "If you are hired by a Subway® restaurant, only the franchisee operating that restaurant, and not us, will be your employer." Write down that company name and its EIN before calling anyone. It tells you which payroll provider to ask — and no Subway corporate number can override it.
Which Subway logins exist, and which never did
Three are live and none is for crew. hr.subway.com returns a 302 to dayforce.subway.com and ends on Ceridian's Dayforce SSO with subway as the client code — Subway's corporate HR system. partners.subway.com and liveiq.subway.com both redirect several hops into subid.subway.com, Subway's Azure AD B2C sign-in: business systems behind a login, not a paystub download. The rest are fiction. university.subway.com — "Subway University", the name most pages still print — is NXDOMAIN on Google, Cloudflare and Quad9, as are employees.subway.com, payroll.subway.com and paystub.subway.com. subwayuniversity.com is a parked lander whose nameservers point at Afternic, meaning the domain is listed for sale.
Frequently asked questions
Does Subway have an employee portal for pay stubs?
Not for restaurant crew. The Subway-branded logins that resolve are hr.subway.com, which forwards to Ceridian Dayforce and is corporate HR, and partners.subway.com and liveiq.subway.com, which both end at Subway's Azure sign-in at subid.subway.com. None of them is a crew paystub download. Subway's terms of use say the franchise owner is "the exclusive employer" of team members, so your stubs live in whatever payroll system that owner bought.
What happened to Subway University?
The hostname is gone. university.subway.com returns NXDOMAIN on Google, Cloudflare and Quad9 — it does not exist, so there is nothing to redirect and a browser simply reports that the server cannot be found. The similarly named subwayuniversity.com is not Subway's: it serves a parked lander and its nameservers point at Afternic, which means it is listed for sale. Do not enter credentials there.
My old Subway franchisee has stopped replying. What now?
Ask in writing rather than by phone — most states give employees a right to request their own payroll records from a former employer. If the missing document is a W-2, IRS Topic 154 says to contact the employer first and, if it is still unresolved by the end of February, you may call the IRS at 800-829-1040; Form 4852 substitutes for a missing W-2 at filing time. If you now work for yourself, our generator builds a stub from your own numbers — it cannot reproduce a Subway record.
