How to Get Your Pay Stub From Walgreens

Addresses that no longer work

• Walgreens "Employee at Home" employee portal — BROKEN — hard TLS certificate error in any browser. DNS is a CNAME to wbaworldwide.wba.com (20.123.100.217), but the certificate that host serves for this name is subject=C=GB, ST=Nottingham, O=Boots UK Ltd., CN=sso.boots.co.uk with SAN only 'DNS:sso.boots.co.uk' — a different WBA subsidiary in the UK. curl fails with 'SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name employee.walgreens.com'. The shared Azure Application Gateway is falling back to a default Boots listener because no listener is configured for this hostname. This is the single most valuable correction: the old Walgreens employee URL is still widely republished and it cannot be opened at all.
• StoreNet (Walgreens store intranet, long cited for pay and schedule access) — DEAD — the hostname does not exist. Authoritative DNS returns NXDOMAIN (dig header 'status: NXDOMAIN'); curl fails with 'Could not resolve host: storenet.walgreens.com'. storenet.wba.com is also NXDOMAIN. There is nothing to redirect to; the name is simply gone.
• "WBA Worldwide" published as a bare .com — a look-alike domain that is NOT Walgreens — NOT A WALGREENS SITE — do not send employees here. Returns HTTP/2 200 with 'server: openresty/1.29.2.5' and a 2-byte body containing only 'OK'. Hosted on Linode IPs (172.104.149.86, 139.162.174.209 and others). Its TLS cert is a bare Let's Encrypt cert (subject=CN=wbaworldwide.com, issuer O=Let's Encrypt) with no organization — versus the genuine Walgreens host wbaworldwide.wba.com, whose cert names 'O=Walgreen Co., L=Deerfield, ST=Illinois'. WHOIS: created 2023-03-14, registrar 'Unstoppable Domains Inc.' Anyone who drops the '.wba' is pointing employees at an unrelated third party.
• "People Central" published as its own web address — NOT A REAL PORTAL — returns 'HTTP/1.0 400 Bad Request' from 'Server: AkamaiGHost', which is Akamai's default rejection for a hostname with no configured property. peoplecentral.wba.com is NXDOMAIN. The unrelated third-party domain peoplecentral.com (104.247.81.99) is not Walgreens and its TLS handshake fails outright. People Central appears to be an area inside the WBA team-member portal, not a standalone address.
• 1-866-967-5492 republished as the "Walgreens HR line for former employees / W-2 requests" — MIS-LABELLED BY COMPETITORS — the number is real but it is the CAREERS / job-applicant line, not a payroll line. Walgreens' own page (HTTP 200) frames it verbatim as: 'For general questions or concerns about our career opportunities or if you're in need of any kind of assistance, send us an email or call 1-866-967-5492'. The same page gives [email protected] strictly for accommodations during the application process. Publishing this as the pay-stub or W-2 hotline sends former employees to recruiting.
• employeeathome.walgreens.com and walgreensemployeeathome.com (variants of the retired "Employee at Home" brand) — DEAD — both hostnames return NXDOMAIN and have no A record; neither resolved at any point during testing. They are either inventions or long-abandoned names still circulating on login-aggregator sites.

If you still work at Walgreens: get your stubs before you need them

While you are on the payroll, your access runs through Walgreens' internal team-member system, and there is no public link for it — Walgreens does not publish one, so if you do not already have the address or the app on your work-issued sign-in, ask your store manager or shift lead rather than searching for it. Do this once and it saves you every future headache: each pay period, open your statement, save it as a PDF, and keep it somewhere that is yours — personal email, cloud drive, or a folder on your own phone. The same goes for your W-2, which lives at w2.walgreens.com, a genuine Walgreens site (its TLS certificate is issued to Walgreen Co.) that redirects you into Walgreens single sign-on before it will show you anything. That single sign-on requirement is the whole problem later on: the day your Walgreens login is deactivated, both your stubs and your W-2 archive go with it, and nothing on the public internet will get them back for you.

The Walgreens addresses that no longer work — and one that was never Walgreens

This is the part almost every other page gets wrong, because these URLs are still being republished years after they stopped working. employee.walgreens.com, the old "Employee at Home" portal, cannot be opened at all: your browser will stop you with a hard certificate error, because the server behind that name presents a certificate belonging to Boots UK Ltd. — a different Walgreens Boots Alliance company — and not to Walgreens. storenet.walgreens.com, the old store intranet name cited for years as the place to see pay and schedules, simply does not exist any more: its DNS returns NXDOMAIN, so there is no page and no redirect to follow. peoplecentral.walgreens.com is not a real address either; it returns a 400 Bad Request straight from Akamai's default handler, which is what you get for a hostname nobody has configured. employeeathome.walgreens.com and walgreensemployeeathome.com do not resolve at all. And the one to be careful about: wbaworldwide.com — the Walgreens host name minus its middle part — is not a Walgreens site. It is an unrelated third-party domain registered in 2023, running on rented Linode servers, answering every request with a two-byte "OK" and carrying a bare certificate with no organization name on it. Never type a Walgreens username or password into it.

If you have already left Walgreens

Here is the honest answer: Walgreens does not publish any self-service way for a former employee to pull an old pay stub. The tax-document site w2.walgreens.com immediately hands you off to Walgreens single sign-on, so a deactivated login gets you nowhere, and it would only hold W-2s anyway. That leaves one real route, and it is a normal one: ask Walgreens directly for copies of your payroll records. Start with your former store manager or district manager, who can route the request to the HR and payroll team, and come prepared with your employee ID, the exact dates you worked, and the specific pay periods you need, so whoever handles it can confirm who you are without a back-and-forth. Federal law and many state laws require employers to keep payroll records for several years, and many states give former employees the right to request copies, so you are asking for something routine rather than a favour. What you should not do is dial numbers or open portals you found on a pay stub blog — several of the most-repeated ones are demonstrably wrong, and one of them is not even a Walgreens property.

What Walgreens actually publishes about pay — and what it doesn't

Walgreens' own pay-transparency page at jobs.walgreens.com/en/paysfl states pay only as an hourly range, in the form "The current salary range for this position is $15.00 per hour - $24.00 per hour". It never states how often employees are paid, and neither does the Walgreens benefits page. If you see a confident pay schedule quoted on another site, it is not coming from Walgreens; your own pay statement or your store manager is the authority on your pay dates. There is one more correction worth having: the number 1-866-967-5492, widely republished as a Walgreens HR or W-2 hotline, is nothing of the kind. It appears on Walgreens' own careers contact page, framed there as being "For general questions or concerns about our career opportunities or if you're in need of any kind of assistance" — it is the line for job candidates. The email address published alongside it, [email protected], is scoped on that same page to accommodations during the application process. Calling either about a missing pay stub sends you to recruiting.

Keeping your own pay records

Two habits solve most of this permanently. First, treat every pay statement as yours the moment it is issued: download it, name the file with the pay date, and store it outside any employer system, because employer access is temporary by design. Second, keep the paperwork that surrounds it — offer letter, schedule records, your last W-2 — in the same place, since anyone verifying your income will usually want more than one document.
