How FedEx employees get their pay stubs

FedEx runs several operating companies — Express, Ground, Freight, and Office among them — and the payroll portal depends on which one employs you. Depending on the operating company, employees typically sign in to ADP or Workday to view and download pay statements, and many locations offer single sign-on through internal FedEx systems. If you're not sure which system your division uses, your manager or HR contact can point you to the right login. Former employees can often still reach old statements through ADP's own site or by contacting FedEx payroll support. What a FedEx-style earnings statement shows

What your stub lists depends on the job. Package handlers and hub workers see hourly lines: regular time, overtime, and often a shift differential for overnight sorts. Many drivers are paid hourly too, though drivers working for FedEx Ground service providers may see per-stop or per-route pay, since those companies set their own structures. Below earnings come federal withholding, Social Security, Medicare, and state tax where it applies, plus lines for a health plan or 401(k) if you're enrolled. FedEx has also been known to pay attendance or peak-season incentives at some facilities; when they apply, they typically show as separate earnings lines. Year-to-date columns run down the side of the statement.

One brand, several employers

"FedEx" on the truck doesn't mean one payroll department behind it. Express, Ground, Freight, and Office grew up as separate companies with their own pay systems, and even after the corporate consolidation of recent years, payroll differences have lingered. Cadence is one example: many FedEx roles are paid weekly, but schedules can differ by operating company and position. Ground adds another layer — most Ground routes are run by independent service providers, so two drivers in identical uniforms can have entirely different employers, stubs, and paydays. If your stubs changed format after a reorganization or a move between divisions, that's usually why.
