Best Paystub Generator creates simulated earnings documents for lawful personal record-keeping. It does not verify employment or income and does not replace records issued by an employer or payroll provider.
Start with the site time records
Separate time worked at each site before comparing it with payroll. Keep the paying company name, period dates, approved hours, and any documented rate change together. A project invoice and an employee pay statement describe different transactions; do not treat a full invoice as one worker’s wages.
Example: two sites in one pay period
Illustration only: a payroll record showing $720 for Site A and $480 for Site B has $1,200 of those earnings. Editable earning labels can retain that breakdown. If the employer already included both sites in Regular earnings, do not add them again as extra payments.
Know what this draft does not replace
A draft can help reconcile the amounts you were paid. It does not produce certified payroll, establish a prevailing wage rate, or decide worker status. Keep project-specific reporting forms, equipment receipts, and the employer’s original payroll records alongside your working copy.
Frequently asked questions
Can I document an equipment payment?
Keep its original description and supporting receipt. Do not automatically label it tax-free or enter it as negative tax; use the source payroll treatment.
Should an unpaid construction invoice appear as wages?
No. Track the invoice in the project ledger. Only record the actual payment or earnings basis that your source document describes.
